Terms of service
Not published yet
A scaffold, not an agreement. The section on what Finhale is not matters most: it is what keeps the product outside SEBI's investment-adviser regime, and it has to match what the app actually does on the day it is published.
01Who we are
Registered entity name, CIN, registered office and contact. Must match the disclosure page exactly.
02What the service is
Define Finhale as a tracking and record-keeping tool. This definition is load-bearing: the rest of the document only holds together if it is precise.
03What the service is not
Explicitly not investment advice, not portfolio management, not broking, not a payment service. If any of these ever changes, the licensing position changes with it — this clause is where that gets caught.
04Accuracy of information
Figures shown are derived from what the user enters. State the limits of reliance and disclaim liability for decisions made on them.
05Eligibility and accounts
Age, residency, one account per person, and the user's responsibility for their own credentials.
06Fees
Pricing, billing cycle, applicable taxes, and how a price change is notified and takes effect.
07Acceptable use
What gets an account suspended, and what notice is given before that happens.
08Liability
Limitation of liability and disclaimer of warranties, drafted to be enforceable under Indian law rather than copied from a US template.
09Termination
How either side ends the relationship, and what happens to the user's data afterwards.
10Governing law
Jurisdiction and dispute resolution.
